A few days ago, I finally unpacked my blue glassware that had been boxed up since our move two years ago. I chose a rarely-used pitcher for today's project.I probably won't make that choice again. The pitcher required an enormous amount of lilac branches to appear full. I'll choose smaller vessels in future.
The entire downstairs of our home carries the hint of lilacs and the adjoining kitchen and dining room are filled with the wonderful smell.

Gorgeous! I think it would be heavenly to have these in my home. I can just imagine closing my eyes, inhaling deeply, ahhhhhh pure bliss :)
Oh how lovely!
I agree, gorgeous.
And I admire your bold choice in containers (even if it caught you off guard) -- I am always too cautious, picking small containers, making small arrangements. I worry about taking too much from the yard, and what-not. But When My SIL arrives and boldly goes and makes cuttings and fills huge vases, her work is always a delight. I'm going to try to be more bold, when my phlox starts blooming in full.
I love the blue glass, the color is one of my favorites and lilacs always make a perfect bouquet!
